The Revenge of The Dominoes

Well it looks like I've got the wee man addicted to the competitive world of dominoes… as soon as he gets back from his football training all he wants to do is play more… but with Bethany out we search for a new victim… i mean competitor… and well we didn't get that… what we found was one of the most competitive people i know… my father Joseph "The Hustler" Aspin!!!

This won't be a nice friendly game… as all three of us have one thing on our minds… and thats victory… and at any cost!!! We may all be blood… but winning comes first nature to us!!! So we all sit down ready to play and decide on the rules from last time...

Game One - This is exactly how i thought this first game would of went… "Th Hustler" collects his first victory straight of the bat… but it could of been so different if i hadn't of messed up and locked up all options… it came down to who had the least points… and surprise surprise "The Hustler" only had six points"… and beat the rest of us by over ten!!! Winner - Joseph "The Hustler" Aspin

Game Two - The second game starts straight away… this time its a very even game… we are all down to two tiles each… but me and "The Huster" have to skip a turn which allows Zack to pick up his first victory of the afternoon!!! Winner - Zack "Attack" Aspin

Game Three - Two down… one to go… and currently with a zero in the win column… i need to change this… i start strong out of the traps… but so does "The Hustler"… and he tricks me and Zack into a fake sense of security… It was a rather tactical game… but saying that… it was a smart game… "The Hustler" sneaked through on this one… but he knew he had a low number so the odds where in his favour when he blocked the game up!!! Winner - Joseph "The Hustler" Aspen

Well another fun filled now computer gaming afternoon… unfortunately the loss column looks a lot further than the empty win  one this time… its time to pull my socks up… and come out swinging next time… because the trappe wants victory again this year!!!

Dominos Challenge (Pizza Not Included)

Well with it being Easter time and the kids off school… you need plenty of things to keep them occupied… and there is nothing better than some old school gaming…

Now I'm not talking about NES or N64… I'm talking about the games they had before that…

The game of choice this afternoon is Dominoes… Below here is an idiots guide to it…

• Place all tiles flat face down in a random order, This collection of unplayed tiles is known as the "boneyard."
• The player with the tile displaying the highest double numbers places it on the table to start the game. If none of the players has a tile with double numbers, each player adds up the number of dots on all of their tiles, and the player with the highest total number plays first.
• Play proceeds to the left, which each player adding a domino to the board by matching a number on one of his tiles to an unused tile that has been played. If he cannot play, he must draw from the boneyard until he can, or until the boneyard is empty and he must pass. Note that tiles with double numbers are played on the end of an already-played tile, with the middle line centered on the end of the tile.
• Play ends when one player has used all her tiles, or when all players must pass because no one can make a valid play. In this case, the player with the least number of dots on his remaining dominoes wins that round.
• The winning player of the round receives one point for each dot on all the other players tiles. She then must subtract one point for each dot on her own tiles--if any.
• Basic dominoes is generally played to 100 points, with the first player to reach 100 declared the winner.

So thats the rules out of the way… tonight we are not playing by normal rules… we are just going to play "House Rules" where everyone has an even amount of dominoes… so that the brats can get used to the game… so lets get down to business!!!

Game One - Well i was quietly confident going into this game… but my confidence quietly disappeared… Zack and Beth dominated early on… every time screwing me out of a move… i thought the end was near for me… but then they where unable to make a move… five unanswered tiles i placed down and picked up the victory!!! Winner - Artemis Beartrappe

Game Two - Well with the first victory in the bag i could smell blood… i wanted to pick up another victory… and i started off strong… but then foolishly i made a foolish mistake which blocked me out… i couldn't move for several turns… and neither could beth… but out of nowhere the wee man picks up the victory… i must say… he is a great loser… but a terrible winner as you would of thought he had won the world cup!!! Winner - Zack "Attack" Aspin

Game Three - Right… i need to win this one… i must admit i played a bit sneaky this time… i played my last few tiles building up to the knowledge that some had a six and a one tile… because in the end i was able to pick up my second victory of the afternoon… come on the beartrappe!!! Game Four - Well this is the last and final game of the afternoon… and to be honest I'm glade… this has turned from a friendly family game… into a serious fight for the death… Zack is looking to tie up this next game… while beth is looking for her first victory… anyway we get straight into it… Beth is on major form this time… she is ripping through this game… it looks like nothing can stop her… but suddenly it has… thought all my concentrating on Beth who was running away with the game… i should of kept an eye on the wee man who puts down his final piece and ties the game up!!! Winner - Zack "Attack" Aspin

Know Your Role...

Well its another family gaming night in the Beartrappe Mansion... and after a few games off lego batman 3 and the mind numbing mindcraft... its down to business and what we all really want... and thats the inuguial first games in the return of Artemis Beartrappe Vs The World... or ABVTROTW for short!!!

So without further a do... its time for your main event of the evening…

And out next is… The Nightmare of Cairnshill… The Terror of the Fourwinds… Zack "Attack" Aspin!!!

And finally... he stands at six foot two... hailing from Belfast, northern ireland... he is the reigning and defending ABVTROTW champion of the world... Artemis beartrappe!!!

So tonights game of choice will be WWE 12k15 on the Playstation 4... an old favourite in the Beartrappe Mansion... its just a shame that i have not been able to afford to buy the new game... and in addition that the game does not have more interesting stipulations for triple threat match ups…

So first of three matches of this evening will be a Extreme Rules Triple Threat... o and may i add it is for the ABVTROTW World Heavyweight Championship!!!

A Clean Slate

Well its a new era of Artemis Beartrappe Vs The Rest of the World...

So its only fitting that i reset the counter of score...

Back in 2012... which is nearly four years ago i won by twenty one points...

Now i plan to regain my crown... and dominate the world as i did four years ago!!! And it will start tonight against Bethany "The Bulk" Aspin and Zack "Attack" Aspin in a game of their choosing!!!

The Return of Artemis Beartrappe Vs The Rest of the World

Well Ladies and Gentlemen…  As you may have realized I had dissappeared from the black hole which is the internet... after some issues i would like to state… I... Artemis Beartrappe will once again be taking on the world... whether you want to play me at tindley winks... race me in a sprint... battle me in a fight to the death... or simply just play me at computer games…

I send out an open challenge to all!!! 

As i say alot has changed since i last did this... not to bring the mood down but there is one less person living in my household... on the other hand I did buy a Playstation 4 so all isn't too bad!!! Saying that there is new competition in the household... Bethany "The Bulk" Aspin has turned nine and is an avid gamer... while Zack "Attack" Aspin is 5 will be wanting to showcase his skills!!!

Anyway the futures Bright... the Futures Orange!!! No thats not a plug for a phone company... its because im a ginger... and the Artemis Beartrappe Vs The Rest of the World competition will go on!!!
