Kinect Action

Well after a great day at work... i found out that a bonus that i was due was in my wages... hooray!!! So with the money burning a hole in my pocket i did what i always do... look some way to spend it!!! So i decided to go to Smiths Toys... due to the fact that my usual source of game purchasing has closed down... but once i entered Smiths and went straight to the Xbox section two games stood out for me... one was Kinect Sports Season Two... and the other was Tiger Woods 13... with both of them being Kinect compatible i had a huge decision on my hands... well Tiger Woods is one of the best series of games ever... but the last game rather sucked in my opinion... but that was just because the controller play was crap... but this time you can use the Kinect... and well the other game Kinect Sports Season Two... its predecessor was one cracking game... this time the playable games are Basketball... Darts... Skiing... Baseball... American Football and Golf!!! So anyway the game i ended up choosing was... Kinect Sports Season Two... and if you are wondering my reasoning behind my choice well i thought if Tiger Woods 13 sucks the whole game would suck... while at least with Kinect Sports Season Two there has to be one out of the six games that would be worth playing over and over again... plus the fact that we could play this one with Beth!!! And after playing £29.99 it was off home to settle the wee man so me and Natalie could get some serious exercise in!!!


So with the wee man dispatched to bed... and a quick ciggie... its time to play the game!!!

But really we did start... and after a bit of debating... and i must say i am a Master Debater... he decided to play Golf first... this should be interesting the fact that me and Natalie have never played this before ever... and its going to be weird swing an invisible club!!! Anyway below is the hole by hole results...
Hole 1 (Par 4) - We both hit two great tee shots... but while with her second shot Natalie hits the green i land in a bunker... and from there i land just off the green... but Natalie 3 putts allowing me a chance to stay level which i do!!!

Hole 2 (Par 3) - We both land straight onto the green from our tee shots... i putt my shot for a birdie while Natalie uses far too much power and ends up with a par!!!

Hole 3 (Par 5) - Once again two great drives from the tee... on my third shot i land a yard away from the pin and get my birdie... and Natalie hits a great put from a good distance to also claim her birdie!!!

Hole 4 (Par 4) - Well from the great tee shots we turn crap... Natalie goes straight into the rough while i end up in the bunker again... then my second shot was a beauty... but it kept rolling and rolling... it must of rolled for a good thirty seconds... and guess what... it rolled into another bloody bunker... what were the chances!!! Natalie begins to show off when she chips of the green for an Eagle... and well as she told me "Its not showing off when your that damn good!!!" Well i can't compete with that... my bunker shot ends less than a yard away from the pin and the par is mine!!!

Hole 5 (Par 5) - We get back to are great form in the way of driving on this hole... i have lady luck on my side when my wayward shot gets a lucky bounce which stops me going into the bunker and lands me on the green... anyway i miss my birdie shot... but Natalie doesn't and increases her lead!!!

Hole 6 (Par 3) - Well i hit a great shot just off the pin... while Natalie over hits it and after her chip from off the green she misses her par shot... and after sinking my Birdie ive caught the ball and chain!!!

Hole 7 (Par 4) - Are first two shorts our rather similar... but when it came to our shots on the green they were very different with the same result... i over hit it while Nat didn't give it enough welly!!! We both end up with a par!!!

Hole 8 (Par 3) - Both our shots land at the bottom of the hill on the green... we both have to give it a bit extra... Natalie ends closer but we both leave the hole with a par!!!

Hole 9 (Par 5) - Right its down to the last hole... winner takes all... well both our shots seemed to roll and roll and roll... but the only difference was that Natalie's ended up in the bunker... it takes me three shots to get onto the green... while it only takes Nat two... and i get my birdie so the pressure is now on Natalie... this is for Eagle... but she misses... she needs her next shot to go in to tie the match... but once again the pressure has gotten to her and its all over... and she leaves this hole with a par!!!

Well what a great match between us... and my god it took ages to do the whole match...  and well im feeling rather sore after that... its time for a smoke and a bit of gloating while im at it... anyway i think we will have a few more matches of this tonight... so keep an eye out for the next event!!! O and btw if your interested... this game is well worth buying... there we have it... The Artemis Beartrappe Seal of Approval!!!
